Job or work: What’s the Difference?

Introduction
In Spanish, the word “trabajo” can mean many things.
But in English we usually choose between job and work, and they are not the same.
Learners often say things like:
❌ I have a lot of jobs today.
❌ I go to my job at 8.
Both sentences sound strange in English.
